Terms and Conditions

Thank you for visiting Iron Butterfly Jewellery. This business is a small one, run by me (Kelly) and supported by my wonderful partner Andy. Literally every order, no matter how big or small, brings a smile to my face.

When you purchase from me, I take it that you have read and understood these terms and conditions. Confirming your order confirms your acceptance of these terms and conditions so please take a moment to read and understand them.

 

Personalised Engraved Jewellery and Keyrings:

All of our personalised engraved pieces are designed by me, Kelly, and engraved in our home. Each piece is created individually, nothing here is batch created. This does mean that at times alignment of words, letters and images may not be uniform, but this is to be expected with small batch engraved jewellery.

 

Polymer Clay and Resin Earrings:

These pieces are all crated by hand. Being handmade no two pieces will ever be identical and there may be slight differences from one piece to the next, especially in terms of pattern placement, colour and design. The uniqueness and individuality of each piece really add to their charm. Please note that there may be slight differences in appearance from the photos online and what you receive, but the overall look of the piece will be the same.

 

Payment:

All prices are in New Zealand dollars. You have a number of options when paying for your order with us. Payment is accepted by bank deposit, credit card or Laybuy. Credit card payments are available through Shopify Payments. All of these options are available at checkout.

 

Completion of orders:

Generally all orders are completed within 2 – 3 weeks. Often it is quicker than this, but this time can change depending on the number of orders and commitments in my full time job. If you require your order to be completed urgently, please contact me PRIOR to placing the order to see if this is possible. Holidays such as Christmas, Valentines, Mother's Day and Father's Day bring an increase in orders. If you hope to gift a piece of Iron Butterfly Jewellery at any of these busy times of the year it would pay to order well in advance rather than later as my cut off date may need to be brought forward depending on my order load.

 

Images:

Photos may be taken before your order is posted. These photos remain the property of Iron Butterfly Jewellery and will be used on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages, and at times on printed material for advertising purposes. If we are aware that a piece is a gift we will make sure not to share the image until after the event. If for any reason you don't want your piece shared on our social media please contact us to let us know.

 

Postage:

Iron Butterfly Jewellery ships within New Zealand and Australia. Current pricing is shown at checkout. I strive to keep these prices as low as I can. Please ensure that you select the correct shipping option when you check out. If you are RD please make sure you select this as it takes time for me to contact people to chase up the extra shipping cost. This affects the time it takes to complete orders. Please note that the RD does seem high compared to urban delivery, however I am paying for part of this service out of pocket to try and keep this cost down for you.

 

Refunds and returns:

We do not refund because of change of mind, or because you are unhappy with the way the finished product looks. The process for my jewellery pieces has been explained above and we can't stress enough that if you want something that is perfect and uniform I can't guarantee this for you. If you change your mind within 12 hours of placing your order you may cancel your order as long as I haven't started making it. You will be refunded the amount of your order minus a $10 cancellation/administration fee.

As each piece of personalised jewellery is custom made for you, custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable. The exception to this is when I am responsible for the mistake (spelling or otherwise). It is very important that you check the information you put in the personalisation box of any personalised pieces you are ordering. If you spell something wrong or put the wrong date, you will need to purchase the same piece again as we simply can't erase engraving.

If your piece is faulty or breaks within six months of purchase with normal use we will remake or refund the item.

 

Care of engraved pieces:

The majority of our personalised engraved pieces are made of stainless steel, with a small few being made from aluminium. Both metals do not tarnish, and only require polishing with a soft cloth. We recommend you keep your pieces dry, as water can wear the pieces. Do be aware that keyrings that are used as a keyring will, over time, be scratched by keys and other objects you may have around your keyring. This is part of normal use.

 

Privacy policy:

Iron Butterfly Jewellery will not share your details to any other party without your express permission. Information collected is for the sole purpose of being able to complete your order successfully.

 

Copyright:

All content and images on Iron Butterfly Jewellery's website, Facebook and Instagram pages are property of Kelly Mustoe t/a Iron Butterfly Jewellery, Dunedin, New Zealand. You are welcome to tag yourself into images (especially if they are of a piece you have purchased) and share them on your own social media but the images must stay as they are and retain any Iron Butterfly Jewellery watermark we have placed on them.

 

Competitions and Giveaways:

Every now and then we run a giveaway for our followers, usually through our Facebook and/or Instagram page. The terms and conditions for giveaways are as follows:

  • By entering you are accepting these terms and conditions.

  • All competitions are open to NZ residents only (unless otherwise stated).

  • Iron Butterfly Jewellery reserves the right to amend, postpone or cancel the giveaway at any time. We also reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

  • Iron Butterfly Jewellery reserves the right to disqualify illegal, incomplete or illegible entries.

  • Winners of Facebook and/or Instagram giveaways will be notified by replying directly to their comment, and amending the giveaway post to include their name as the winner in the body of the post.

  • Unless otherwise noted, winners will be drawn using random.org and entries will be numbered in order of appearance on our end.

  • Iron Butterfly Jewellery's decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

  • None of our prize draws, giveaways or competitions are in any way sponsored, endorsed, administrated by or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

  • Unless otherwise stated, all prizes must be claimed within 3 days, otherwise the prize will be forfeited.

  • The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.

  • Personal information provided as part of your entry or as the winner will remain with Iron Butterfly Jewellery and not passed on to a 3rd party unless otherwise notified.
